At Wisp, your privacy is our core architectural priority. As a storage management utility, we handle sensitive device data, and we are committed to total transparency regarding our operations.

1. Data Collection & Usage

Wisp is designed to operate locally on your device. We do not upload your personal photos, videos, or documents to any cloud server. All analysis performed by our Intelligence Engine (OCR) happens strictly on-device using Google ML Kit.

Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to monitor app usage patterns (e.g., how many items are triaged) to improve the user experience.
Stability: We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive technical logs if the app crashes, helping us provide a stable service.
Performance: Firebase Performance Monitoring helps us ensure Wisp remains the fastest storage tool on Android.

2. Permissions & Authority

To function effectively, Wisp requires specific high-level permissions:

All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required to physically move and delete non-app files (like screenshots and videos) to reclaim space.
Accessibility Service: Used strictly for the "Turbo Optimize" feature to automate the tapping of "Clear Cache" buttons in system settings. Wisp does not monitor your keystrokes or personal data through this service.
Media Library Access: Required to index and display your media for triage.

3. Third-Party Services

Wisp integrates Google AdMob for monetization. AdMob may collect device identifiers to serve non-intrusive advertisements. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for more information on how they handle ad-related data.

4. Data Retention

Items moved to the "Secure Bin" are stored in a local, isolated cache directory on your device. Wisp automatically purges these files after your selected interval (default 7 days). Once purged, this data is physically destroyed and cannot be recovered.
